EU Compliance
EU compliance information.
This page collects the practical EU-facing controls for After Dark Stories: data protection, essential cookies, illegal-content reporting, AI transparency, and adult-only access.
Last updated: May 27, 2026.
GDPR readiness
The app provides an EU privacy notice, account-based access controls, hashed credentials/tokens, private story defaults, logged break-glass review, and a privacy-rights intake route.
Privacy requests are accepted through the contact form. Configure DATA_PROTECTION_EMAIL for a public email contact before production launch.
ePrivacy cookie posture
The current service uses essential cookies only: web session, CSRF protection, adult confirmation, and EU notice acknowledgement. Non-essential analytics or advertising cookies are not enabled and should require opt-in consent if added later.
DSA-style report and contact flow
The contact form accepts illegal-content reports, takedown requests, safety concerns, privacy rights requests, related URLs, country, and reporter email. Reports are stored with a review category and due date target.
Configure DSA_CONTACT_EMAIL before EU production launch if an email point of contact is required.
AI transparency
The site describes story creation as AI-assisted fiction, keeps model selection configurable, labels the service as adult AI fiction, and keeps application-side directives and report paths visible.
Adult-only safeguards
The studio requires age confirmation, account creation requires email verification, public stories expose only story previews to unverified users, and prohibited-use terms ban minors, non-consensual real-person sexual content, exploitation, and illegal content.
